LA POETICA DEI SASSI
Frammenti di un unico enorme racconto, segni che hanno in sé un preciso significato, leggibile solo a confronto o in sequenza con gli altri. È il “codice dei sassi”, un linguaggio finora sconosciuto che Alfredo Gioventù, artista – artigiano ceramista, interpreta nelle sue poesie ceramiche.
Sono anni, infatti, che realizza sassi di mare in ceramica, ispirandosi alle materie e agli infiniti disegni di quelli presenti in natura, sentendo però l’esigenza di attribuire al loro racconto una condizione di “dignità letteraria“, capace di narrare in forma poetica quella “lunga e oscura storia anteriore all’uomo… storia da cui noi stessi proveniamo”.

Fragments of a story, which has in itself a precise meaning, readable only by comparison or in sequence with others. It is the “code of rocks”, an unknown language that Alfredo Gioventù, artist – craftsman ceramist, plays in his poems.
For many years he has been creating potteries shaped as sea rocks, drawing inspiration from the endless designs of those present in nature, but feeling the need to give them a kind of “literary dignity”, able to narrate in poetic form that “long and dark history before man… history from which we arise ourselves”.
